Hello everyone,
I'm a graduate of ing.mechanics. I made a wind blade (geometria 3d) in solid edge st3 ed devo optimize its geometry usando il software fashion frontier 4.4; to do this, I need it instruction files and/or file journal of geometry made in only edge st3.
How do I do to extract it and import it in modefrontier 4.4? in which format do I have to save 3d geometry?
I'm not familiar with modefrontier yet.

solid edge can export 3d geometry in many formats you have to see modefrotier what is in degrees to import.

the goal is to create a loop between the following softwares: solid edge st3 – fluent – modefrontier.
at each loop, modefrontier, on the basis of the cfd simulation, optimizes the geometry created with the cad and the “go back into the meal” to fluent. modefrontier generates parameterized files as input for cad: instead of manually recreating geometry, this optimizer is used. summarized, modefrontier works as follows:
-imports the parametric file of geometry;
-create the new geometry.

the instruction files (o file journal) is a list containing all the operations that have been carried out to achieve geometry; in a few words is an executable that, in general:
-can be created with a gui and you;
-can be created or modified externally with a text editor.
summarizing, instead of creating any geometry with the mouse, you can write a list with all the info on geometry; it launches with the cad and the geometry appears. This is an advanced cad command.
would be something similar totogether of the operations contained in the promptbar.
it is possible to makereverse operation: starting from the geometry created with the mouse, you can extract the journal file (a)> point created coordinates\ 0,0 1,0 2,0.......... > undo.... > redo... created surface\..”).

I don't understand that solid edge allows this mode of export, but maybe I'm wrong. you mean something similar to the file "trail.txt" of pro/e, that is a maxi-macro-education that contains all the steps of modeling. But the soft you're using doesn't tell you what cad is compatible with?

It's a niche application, normal no one heard of it before. I remember that in the basic fem of solidworks there is a similar function, but it's extremely rudimentary and I don't know how useful it is.

What interests you is really in the field of futurism, and sincerely I don't know how much it can be so fundamental, compared to the traditional fem analysis followed by a critical review of the model made manually.

I see you generated the profiles of the shovel using curve by table.

if this software really does what it says you should instruct it to update excel tables of profiles, solid edge will update geometry accordingly.
