hello to all I am cristian, I am a partner in a company of moulds for thermoplastics, thermo-hardeners and die casting, in the province of brescia, I started my activity as a tool, then cnc miller, now for 15 years I have been working on 3d design of the various products and design molds.
as a cad program I use thinkdesign ever since it was called eureka gold, and as cam I use auton (dpt).

I am count from the province of parma,
my experience as a designer-designer is about to reach 4 years,
I previously worked for an external study working mostly in the food industry (fillers and rotary labelers) but I had the opportunity to work on various carry machines and surface finishes (sand coatings), in the pharmaceutical always concerning filling machines and finally in automated benches for the production of piles (I omitted other activities less influential on my experience). in these years I learned very well solidworks, I arrived to 2013 and it is the software I prefer, perhaps because it was simply the first I used and with which I grew up, I used inventor, a bit pro-e wf2 and the 5 only for rendering.. I had short experiences already in the past with solid edge.. I had a way to use for a long time I create modelling.. and I knew how to appreciate the comfort for some things.. now they are in a company that produces automated machines mostly palletizers and other machines with various robots.. and some aseptic fillers for particular products.. and I am using solid edge st7 but I can't find it very well, so be patient and I hope soon to be able to help this community.

I believe that after 18 years of inventor anything that is not inventor sucks to you; first stop thinking about the past before you learn to appreciate the new (though solid edge v19 is now 9 years old).

There's a check to load the parts as active as you see maybe you miss the tool's knowledge. However it happens to everyone to struggle to adapt, thinks that there are companies that invoice millions of euros using whether or any other cad....

when loading a set you can choose whether to charge it active or disable and you can tie the activation to the configuration; I add that in the most recent versions you can set thresholds related to the number of pieces of the axieme to load the already active or disactive parts.
In short, you can configure solid edge to load what you need when you need it.

the concept of active \ disactive allows you to work on large assemblies even in the presence of little memory.

regarding the management of the video have been made many optimizations to have greater performance starting from st4, so for the v19 there is little to do.

My name is roberto, I'm 40 years old and I'm from Padua.
I am lost in industrial electronics (then I found out I didn't like it!! )
I designed injection plastic molds for 10 years (last 4 with acetron ) as an employee.
I have gone through industrial automation (testing equipment, assembly, seal controls, low flow and high pressure) as an employee (solid edge from v17 to st7).
I've been putting myself into my own as a mechanical designer for about a month.
... now I have to try to find work.. . ! ! ! !

at the beginning of my career I worked 5 years with autocad as a designer for a company that produced hydraulic cylinders and tires.
then a couple of years I worked with catia v5 for a big design studio in the automotive industry in general (from motorcycle to bus).
now for about a year I work in a company that carries out research and development activities in the automotive sector but for what concerns central control systems and motor calibrations. here now they have decided to use solid edge (they have the license st5) but are totally new to this program and, to the first serious and urgent project, I am finding some difficulties being "self-taught".
I'm sure in this forum I'll find very good help.
